Manufacturing Engineer

We are currently looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join the Precision Gear team. This position will continuously improve product quality by developing and executing specific plans and processes to improve productivity and operational improvements to our manufacturing processes. Principal Responsibilities: Initiate and manage projects in the areas of products, processes, equipment, tooling, material handling and facilities.Apply project management principles to meet project deliverables on time and budget.Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency. Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas that could benefit from changes and improvementsDevise new solutions to existing manufacturing problemsEvaluate manufacturing processes based on the quality, criteria, efficiency, and speedStudy production and machine requirementsResolve issues and delays in productionFind ways to reduce costs and maximize qualityTrain staff in new and existing processesSupport TS 16939, customer audits and annual recertificationsExperience & Qualifications:Developing and implementing manufacturing processes, new grads encouraged to applyExperience with Gears manufacturing a plusDemonstrated knowledge of manufacturing technology including, precision grinding and CNC machiningExperience with light automation, process flow and cell layout.Strong leadership and communication skills.Facilities management experience a plus.Proficient in CAD software, preferably SolidworksEducation: Bachelor’s in manufacturing engineering or mechanical engineering is preferred, or equivalent relevant work experience will be considered.PIef0972f95b68-35196-38595470
