Cost Cutters is new National brand of Family Hair Salons.
We are looking for a Hair Stylist to create flawless haircuts and hairstyles for our customers. Hair Stylist responsibilities include cutting hair using basic and advanced techniques, consulting customers about styles and colors and applying hair care products, like treatment oils and masks. If you have experience cutting short and long hair and are up-to-date with styling trends, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you will ensure all customers leave our salon satisfied with our services and feel happy with their new looks.
*Purpose*
The primary purpose of the Assistant/Shift Manager is to generate and maintain an enthusiastic, professional environment, where guest satisfaction is consistently assured by keeping the 360 Experience in mind at all times. The Assistant/Shift Manager must understand the guest’s needs, concerns and perceptions, enabling the team to identify and create an environment conducive to the Cost Cutters brand. The Assistant/Shift Manager must provide a consistent image, serving as a role model for all salon employees, have the ability to inspire respect and creativity understand Cost Cutters Operating Principles and Brand Promise effectively communicate these principles. The Assistant/Shift Manager acts as direct support to the salon manager. The primary role is to support the manager and manage the salon to be successful.
*Skills*
Strong 360 Experience and technical skills. Effective ability to coach, lead and inspire others.
Business management skills (goal setting, scheduling, cash management, reporting).
Leads by example.
Outstanding communication skills. Professional appearance and presence.
* Work experience as a Hair Stylist, Hairdresser, Colorist or similar role * Proficiency in hair straightening and curling methods, using hot irons and curlers * Hands-on experience with various coloring techniques * Knowledge of a wide range of haircuts, suitable for all hair lengths (e.g. braids and top knots) * Familiarity with hair treatment products and services, like keratin smoothing * Up-to-date with industry trends * Excellent communication skills * Physical stamina to stand for long hours * Flexibility to work in shifts * Valid license from a cosmetology school
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
