Required within the region and scope of practice Estimated Weekly Salary:
$1570 - $1680 Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active and unencumbered RN license (North Carolina or compact state) Minimum 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical or Telemetry RN experience BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation and care of patients with non-titrating cardiac drips (e.g., Cardizem, Amiodarone) Skilled in IV starts, blood product administration, wound care, and dressing changes Ability to float to other units and facilities within the region as needed Strong teamwork, communication, and accountability skills Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality nursing care to diverse adult patient populations, including chronic disease management (CHF, COPD, diabetes), mental health, addiction services, wounds, and geriatric care Interpret cardiac rhythms and manage non-titrating cardiac drips Perform IV starts, administer blood products, and provide comprehensive wound care Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including nurse managers, clinical supervisors, CNAs, and rapid response staff Document patient care using EPIC EMR and operate department-specific equipment (scales, EKG, crash cart, telemedicine cart, etc.) Float to other medical-surgical units and facilities within the region as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and patient-centered care
