About the Role
The Company is in search of a strategic and dynamic Executive Director to lead its global mission of setting standards in philanthropy through a valid and reliable certification process for fundraising professionals. The successful candidate will be responsible for advancing the organization's mission, expanding the number of certificants worldwide, and driving inclusive excellence. This pivotal role involves overseeing all operational aspects, managing the office, supporting the Board, and ensuring excellent customer service to all constituencies. The Executive Director will also be tasked with crafting and implementing strategies to achieve the organization's goals, serving as the primary contact with the Board, and leading efforts to increase the number of fundraisers seeking the credential and expand public awareness of the organization's work. The ideal candidate for the Executive Director position at the company will be a strong leader with a proven record of organizational growth and change management, as well as strong executive presence and fundraising acumen. They should be a collaborative and goal-oriented individual with the ability to build long-term relationships and provide excellent customer service. Knowledge of or experience with certification and/or standards-setting organizations is essential, as is the ability to work effectively at both the Board and Executive levels. The role requires an exceptional communicator with excellent written and verbal skills, who can explain information, decisions, and actions clearly. The Executive Director will also be expected to champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility across the organization.
