About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer to lead its mission of fostering licensed professional engineers in service to society. The successful candidate will be a dynamic, collaborative, and inspirational leader with a strategic, innovative, and financially astute approach. Key responsibilities include creating and executing forward-thinking business plans, providing strategic leadership to the staff, and collaborating with the Board on the development and implementation of the strategic plan. The role also involves leading sustainable financial strategies, overseeing the organization's programs and services, and reimagining the organization's events to enhance the member and constituent experience. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, with a preference for a CAE, and experience in a scientific, STEM, or built environment association or nonprofit organization. The Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer will be expected to have a proven track record in change management, financial acumen, and experience with complex budgeting and revenue diversification. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, as is the ability to serve as the organization's primary spokesperson. The role requires a leader with exceptional relationship-building and networking skills, committed to fostering an inclusive, collaborative, and innovative organizational culture. Experience in advocacy, a federated membership model, and a servant-leader approach are also highly valued. The candidate should be adept at modernizing organizational systems and processes, ensuring legal compliance, and safeguarding the organization's assets. Staff leadership and management, as well as a focus on organizational culture, are integral to the position.
