Travel Rehab RN Job Details

• Location: Wichita, KS 67214 (Kansas healthcare jobs)
• Facility: Rehabilitation Hospital (41-bed Rehab Center)
• Position Type: Locum Tenens / Travel Registered Nurse
• Start Date: October 20, 2025
• End Date: January 19, 2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 7A - 7P (12-hour day shifts)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1460 - $1500
• Technology: Meditech Magic EMR, patient lifts, iSTAT, glucometer

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Kansas or compact state)
• BLS certification (Basic Life Support)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience (rehabilitation nursing or med/surg preferred)
• Ability to read telemetry
• IV certification (for LPNs, if applicable)
• Strong communication and patient education skills
• Empathetic, patient-focused approach to care
• Preferred: CRRN (Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse), ACLS certification, knowledge of Quality Indicator scoring in post-acute healthcare settings

Travel Nurse Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation care plans with an interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Perform comprehensive head-to-toe assessments, lab draws, IV medication administration, and blood administration
• Educate patients and families on care plans and rehabilitation programs
• Advocate for patients and deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care
• Utilize med/surg nursing skills in a post-acute rehab hospital environment
• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines
