The Fund Development and Donor Engagement Manager

reports to the Director of Marketing and Development. She/he is responsible for working with corporations and individual donors to support the mission of Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada (GSSNV). They will generate corporate and private partnerships that drive revenue, generate marketing exposure and other benefits for GSSNV and the Girl Scouts movement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The

Fund Development and Donor Engagement Manager

solicits, cultivates, and stewards current and prospective corporate and private partners to support GSSNV and the Girl Scout movement through program support, philanthropic support, and cause marketing include the following; Create and support an annual fundraising strategy to meet $975k targeted revenue goal that incorporates a mix of revenue streams including corporate sponsorships, major and individual gifts, fundraising events, planned giving, and grants and in-kind support. Engage stakeholders and build strong relationships with funders to ensure GSSNV's financial sustainability. Identify and prospect new sources of funding to diversify GSSNV's donor portfolio. Manage donor database, grant tracker and all other records management relating to fundraising. Oversee execution of recognition and benefits related to corporate sponsorships and partner commitments including activation, online and offline communications, and collateral. Responsible for gift acknowledgements and donor recognition in a timely manner. In collaboration with the Development Coordinator, plan, budget, implement, and provide follow-ups for all special events and annual gala. Manage any outside partnerships with vendors and contractors for fund development and engagement activities. Develop proposals and budgets and deliver presentations via email, phone, online grant applications, and in person. Promote and assist with council wide programs, activities, public relations, and stakeholder and member engagement. Educate and train staff and volunteers on fundraising and engagement protocols and best practices. Cultivate and implement with the Director of Marketing and Development, a business-based donor development program. Participate in reporting, budgeting, goal setting, strategic planning, and outcomes evaluation to support and develop short-term and long-term departmental strategies and risk management systems. Other duties as directed and required. Qualifications/Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a relevant course of study, or equivalent experience; graduate degree a plus but not required. At least 5 years of professional work experience with a minimum of 3 years of successful non-profit fund-raising experience, or proven success in marketing, sales, and event planning. A proven track record in meeting fundraising/sales goals. Demonstrated high-level proficiency with Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, CRM software (Salesforce) and donor management software (Donor Perfect) Demonstrated leadership, collaborative, communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent, effective English language abilities, both oral and written Strong public speaking, writing, and presentation skills Ability to conduct statistical and analytical research. Experience of partnering with other departments and building cross-functional relationships. The ability to demonstrate and articulate a genuine passion for the Girl Scout mission and vision. Proven capability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality. Foundation and government grant writing expertise Demonstrated reasoning ability, in order to successfully lead and/or manage responsibilities as described above. Demonstrated evidence of having successfully interpreted fund development components of a strategic vision into a highly functional operational model. Proven capability to work in a collaborative, service-focused environment. Demonstrably strong analytical skills, as well as problem-solving and conflict management capabilities A demonstrably clear understanding of fund development and special event practices in carrying out duties with a high degree of confidentiality. Ability to relate to top community leaders and diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community. Ability to create interpretive materials to enable potential donors to understand Girl Scouts and how they contribute to the achievement of its mission. Work Monday to Friday during office hours with the ability to work a flexible schedule including frequent nights and weekends. Ability to sit upright for extended periods of time. Ability to occasionally climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Must have personal transportation and ability to drive, possess a valid driver's license, maintain personal auto insurance, and meet the council insurance company's requirements for coverage. Ability to travel to and/or attend offsite meetings up to 50% percent of the time. First Aid/CPR/AED certification (training provided) Girl Scouts membership required upon hire.
