Piper Companies is looking for a
Lead Facilities Mechanic
to join a liquid filling manufacturing facility based in Lynwood, California. The
Maintenance Forman
will provide will provide hand-on leadership to a team of technicians ensuring safe, efficient, and GMP compliant maintenance operations while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities of the Lead Facilities Mechanic Include: • Provide leadership and daily support to a team of maintenance technicians and contractors. • Delegate maintenance tasks, including recurring expenses, breakdowns, and project work. • Troubleshoot equipment issues and respond to trouble calls • Support audits, inspections, and investigations related to facilities and equipment. • Maintain accurate documentation in CMMS and manage spare parts inventory.
Qualifications for the Lead Facilities Mechanic Include: • Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in GMP regulated industries (pharma, biotech, or medical device preferred) • At least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role with demonstrated team management success • Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and facility systems (e.g., HVAC, boilers, chillers) • Understanding of GMP, FDA, OSHA regulations and experience with CMMS platforms • Familiarity with PLC loop logic (no programming required) • High school diploma required; technical certification or associate degree preferred
Compensation for the Maintenance Foreman / Lead Mechanic Includes: • Hourly Rate: $40.00 - $45.00/HR depending on experience • Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, and other benefits aligned with company policy
