Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will support physicians and nursing staff by providing clinical and administrative assistance, ensuring smooth patient flow and high-quality care. This role involves both front- and back-office duties in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities Prepare exam rooms, assist during patient examinations, and ensure cleanliness and readiness. Take and record vital signs, patient histories, and symptoms accurately. Assist physicians with medical procedures and provide patient education as instructed. Administer medications and injections as directed by a physician. Perform routine laboratory tests and phlebotomy when required. Schedule patient appointments, manage medical records, and handle insurance documentation. Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and protocols. Communicate with patients professionally and compassionately.
Required Qualification s High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a Medical Assistant training program. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical or healthcare setting. Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) systems. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment.
Preferred Qualifications (if any) Bilingual in English and Spanish. Experience in a specialty clinic (e.g., pediatrics, cardiology, internal medicine).
C ertifications (if any) Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
