Our client, a fast-growing player in the insurance platform space, is seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer to join their dynamic and forward-thinking engineering team. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Rosemont, IL, requiring on-site presence two days per week. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Azure cloud networking, along with hands-on experience using ARM and Bicep for Infrastructure as Code.

Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of professional experience in cloud engineering Experience owning and managing enterprise-level Azure environments (multiple tenants/subscriptions) Strong Azure networking experience (integration with on-prem data centers) Expertise with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) - using Bicep, ARM templates, or Terraform Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions Deep understanding of Azure security features (Entra, RBAC, PIM/PAM, NSGs, Azure Firewall) Experience with monitoring tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, or similar (e.g., Grafana, ELK)
Desired Skills & Experience
Experience with containerization/Kubernetes Familiarity with prominent observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Loki) Mentorship or leadership experience within engineering teams Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Clear examples of principle-centered decision making and collaborative architecture discussions
