Nurse Manager - NICU (3p-11p, Houston, TX)

Houston, TX Shift:
3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. | Full-time | Weekends with rotation/on-call
Overview We are seeking an experienced
NICU Nurse Manager
to lead a high-acuity
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
team during evening shifts. This role is ideal for
NICU managers, charge nurses, and acute care nursing leaders
who are passionate about delivering exceptional care to
critically ill newborns
while mentoring and supporting staff.
Responsibilities Lead and manage NICU nurses, nurse practitioners, and support staff
Oversee staffing, scheduling, and workflow to meet patient care needs
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, clinical protocols, and safety standards
Mentor and support professional development of
NICU nursing staff
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams for optimal outcomes
Participate in weekend rotation and on-call coverage
Qualifications
Active RN license in Texas or Multi-State Compact License (must obtain TX RN license within 60 days if applicable)
BSN required
2+ years of
recent acute care NICU leadership experience
as a manager or charge nurse (within the last year)
Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
Strong leadership, communication, and clinical decision-making skills
Experience in
high-acuity neonatal care , ventilator management, IV therapy, and advanced monitoring
