Position Overview

Sigma is seeking a

Dental Assistant

for a full-time

3+ month onsite contract

opportunity in

Boston, MA . This role supports a

Pre-Doctoral Group Practice

and involves working closely with students, faculty, and patients in a

fast-paced, academic clinical setting .

The ideal candidate will be a

Certified Dental Assistant (CDA or EFDA)

with

Massachusetts licensure ,

clinical experience , and strong communication skills. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic dental environment that fosters learning, teamwork, and patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities Provide chairside assistance to students using

four-handed dentistry techniques Prepare and disinfect operatories between patients and ensure instruments are sterilized properly Manage operatory supply inventory and restock as needed Support evening and Saturday clinics as required Review treatment plans with patients and explain procedures clearly Demonstrate professionalism and empathy in patient care Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure quality care and efficient clinic operations Maintain accurate documentation and follow infection control protocols Use Microsoft Office applications for communication and reporting Qualifications

Massachusetts Dental Assistant License

(Required) Certified Dental Assistant (CDA, EFDA, or FTDA)

(Required) CPR and Radiology certifications

(Required) Experience in a

dental practice or academic dental care setting Strong knowledge of

dental terminology

and treatment procedures Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) Ability to manage multiple students and support up to

8 operatories

simultaneously Proficiency with

MS Office

(Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Bilingual candidates

are strongly preferred but not required Additional Requirements

Maintain current standing through

continuing education (CE) Submit proof of immunizations and TB testing per institutional health guidelines: MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, and TB testing Strong organizational skills, critical thinking, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting Why Work with Sigma, Inc.?
