About the Role
iSphere is looking for an experienced
ArcGIS Geospatial Architect and Development Lead
to design and guide enterprise GIS solutions that drive data analytics for Medicaid and CHIP client and provider data. You'll shape the geospatial data strategy from the ground up-partnering with IT, data scientists, and public-health stakeholders to ensure high-quality, secure, and innovative mapping solutions.
What You'll Do Architect and govern
ArcGIS-based geospatial solutions
that meet state and federal standards for healthcare data. Develop geospatial data architectures, workflows, and metadata standards to power mapping and analytics. Lead requirements gathering and governance frameworks with internal teams and external partners. Oversee creation and management of GIS datasets, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Mentor GIS analysts and developers in best practices for spatial analysis, web mapping, and data visualization. Establish and enforce geospatial data management policies and quality assurance processes. Deliver advanced spatial analyses, technical reports, dashboards, and interactive web maps for executives and stakeholders. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, Public Health, or related field. 7+ years
professional GIS experience, with
3+ years
in a lead or architect role (cloud architectures preferred). Expert proficiency with
Esri ArcGIS
(ArcGIS Pro Advanced, database management, network analyst toolboxes). 5+ years
SQL Server Enterprise Geodatabase management using ArcGIS. 5+ years
Python and SQL, including writing functions and procedures. 2+ years
working in an Agile/Scrum environment. Proven experience in geospatial governance, policy development, and stakeholder engagement. Strong data management, metadata, and data-quality skills. Excellent communication, technical writing, and stakeholder-management skills. Preferred
Familiarity with Medicaid, public health, or social-services programs and datasets. GIS certifications such as Esri Enterprise System Design Professional, Esri ArcGIS Enterprise Administration Professional, or GISP. Experience with machine learning, GeoAI, or generative AI for geospatial analytics. Knowledge of Snowflake Data Warehouses and custom web-based application interfaces.
