12-hour nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) Hours per Week:
36 Schedule:
Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required Blackout Dates for RTO:
Mid-November to Mid-January (requests may be denied during this period) Estimated Weekly Salary Range:
$1740-$1860 Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license - Iowa or compact state Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred) Ability to work every other weekend and every other holiday as scheduled Completion of all required onboarding, health screenings, and competency checklists Strong communication, clinical assessment, and teamwork skills Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients on the Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit Monitor, interpret, and respond to telemetry rhythms and cardiac changes Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions as ordered Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic health record Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and post-discharge instructions Maintain compliance with hospital policies, clinical protocols, and patient safety standards Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as required for travel nursing contracts
