Available Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active RN license - Registered Nurse BLS and PALS certifications APHON provider card (certificate) Minimum 2 years of pediatric nursing experience with strong oncology/hematology background Experience with port access, chemotherapy administration, blood product transfusion, and cardiac rhythm interpretation Proficient in blood cultures/central line care, PCA pumps, and Heparin gtts Bone marrow transplant experience (Day 0-2) highly preferred Experience with end-of-life care, Precedex gtt, intranasal Versed, Ketamine drips, and chest tubes is a plus Team player with initiative and adaptability Pediatric RN Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients with hematology, oncology, and bone marrow transplant needs Administer chemotherapy, blood products, and manage central lines and ports Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; respond to acute changes in patient status Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, APPs, educators, and support staff Provide care for highly acute bone marrow transplant patients (Day 0-2) Support behavioral health pediatric patients as needed Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR Participate in department orientation and ongoing education
