The Assistant Director of Admissions/Catholic High School Liaison develops and implements recruitment strategies to boost enrollment from Catholic high schools, fosters relationships with school leaders and stakeholders, and guides prospective students and families through admissions.

Job Description

DUTIES AND TASKS:

Develop and implement a recruitment strategy for Catholic high schools.

Establish partnerships with high school counselors, administrators, and diocesan leadership to inform students about Saint Leo University.

Represent Saint Leo University at various events including high school visits, college fairs, diocesan events, and other recruitment activities.

Offer admissions counseling to prospective students and their families, facilitating an efficient application process.

Conduct individual and group information sessions, both in-person and online, to provide details on academic programs, scholarships, financial aid, and the university's Catholic Benedictine values.

Collaborate with the Office of Campus Ministry and Catholic-affiliated organizations to increase faith-based engagement opportunities for prospective students.

Act as the main contact between the university and Catholic dioceses to support recruitment and retention efforts.

Plan and coordinate events for Catholic high school students, which may occasionally include middle school participants.

Consult with enrollment marketing and communications teams to create materials and messaging for Catholic school audiences.

Increase enrollment of students from Catholic high schools by developing targeted strategies, ensuring that established recruitment metrics are met or exceeded.

Track recruitment activities, application trends, and enrollment outcomes from Catholic high schools to assess effectiveness and adjust strategies accordingly.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in education, business, communications, or a related field. Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in admissions, recruitment, or related fields. Experience working with Catholic high schools is strongly preferred. Knowledge of Catholic education and a commitment to Saint Leo University's mission and core values. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders. Ability to travel extensively and work evenings and weekends to support admissions events.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience with partnership development Fluency in Spanish is a plus Familiarity with financial aid processes and scholarship opportunities for Catholic school students. Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and virtual meeting platforms.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Admission Travel: Travel to Catholic high schools, tours, admissions fairs, Catholic conferences, and receptions in the fall and spring, some summer events and travel may be required. Lifting of 25-35 lb. rolling carriers and boxes of recruitment materials. Standing and sitting for long periods of time. Extensive communications work via email, phone, and text daily. Travel mostly by auto.
