Job Responsibilities Design Tailored Treatment Plans: Assess patients' needs and craft individualized therapy strategies to help them meet their functional goals. Implement Effective Therapeutic Techniques: Apply evidence-based methodologies to facilitate improvements in patients' motor abilities, cognitive skills, and everyday activities. Collaborate with Diverse Teams: Engage with fellow OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nursing staff to provide comprehensive, well-rounded care. Educate Patients and Families: Instruct patients and their loved ones on therapeutic practices to encourage sustained growth outside of therapy. Track Progress and Document Changes: Monitor patients' advancements and modify treatment plans as necessary to ensure ongoing success. Education and Certifications
Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution Encouragement for continuing education or post-graduate certifications Active
Occupational Therapist (OTR/L)
license required NBCOT
(National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification mandatory Required Skills
