Founded in 1890, Glen-Gery Corporation is one of the nation’s largest brick manufacturers and operates nine brick manufacturing facilities and one manufactured stone facility. Since entering the USA in 2018, Brickworks have acquired Sioux City Brick, Redland Brick and the distribution business of Southfield Corporation in Illinois and Indiana (Illinois Brick, Indiana Brick). The combined North American business now has more than 1,000 employees, operates across 40 locations, including 8 brick plants (Glen-Gery), 25 masonry supply center/retail locations (Brickworks Supply) and 3 Design Studios (Brickworks).
Basic Function
The Sales Analyst is a motivated, data driven individual, that will support the business by executing and distributing sales reporting and analytics across the business. The analyst reports on relevant KPI’s, sales budgets, and market trends. The analyst will also support the administration of sales applications and reporting tools to ensure the relevant data is available to meet the evolving information needs of the business. The role will leverage BI tools and platforms to make actionable sales information readily available to sales and management teams while reporting on all sales related KPI’s. The analyst will work closely with sales leadership to analyze market, product, and customer trends and utilize data models to present business information supporting strategic opportunities.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Administer sales reporting data cubes such as Cognos and Power BI Develop and enhance tools to report and analyze sales oriented, business critical KPI's Train organization to leverage analytical reports, tools, and dashboards Train business users to “Self-serve” ad-hoc sales reports and data requests utilizing analysis tools Maintain sales budgets and targets across reporting and KPI’s Support administration of product pricing, price updates, and systems pricing maintenance Support Monthly BIA organization reporting requirements Presents information using data visualization techniques Execute market reporting leveraging BI tools to organize data and combine with business sales data Measures impacts of strategic sales and pricing initiatives Support Salesforce CRM administration Conduct ad-hoc reporting as required Documents all processes and research Skills and Qualifications:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Power Point and data modelling tools Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively Strong math skills Demonstrated problem-solving aptitude Desire to leverage data to create value for the business Bachelor’s degree in finance, computer science, statistics, applied math or related business field required. Experience utilizing statistical software packages, business intelligence tools, and data frameworks (Power BI, Cognos, and Hubble preferred) Salesforce CRM experience and related certifications preferred Familiarity with sales processes and business value flow and pricing practices preferred
