The Director of Order Management is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the end-to-end order lifecycle in a multi-channel, high-end retail environment, encompassing e-commerce, wholesale, and global distribution channels. This position drives operational excellence by optimizing processes from order capture through fulfillment, delivery, and post-sale support, with a focus on precision, efficiency, and delivering a premium customer experience. The role leverages advanced order management systems (OMS), integrates with enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms like SAP, and employs data-driven insights to enhance scalability, streamline global supply chain operations, and support business growth.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, or a related field required; Master’s degree (e.g., MBA) preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in order management, supply chain, or operations, with at least 5 years in a strategic leadership role focused on process optimization in retail, e-commerce, or consumer goods.
  • Proven expertise in managing complex, multi-channel order environments, including global e-commerce platforms, wholesale distribution, and retail operations.

Skills:

  • Strategic Leadership : Exceptional ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive alignment on order management strategies without direct supervisory responsibilities. Skilled in fostering collaboration and building consensus across departments.
  • Technical Proficiency : Deep expertise in OMS and ERP systems (SAP strongly preferred), with experience integrating e-commerce platforms, CRM tools, and global logistics systems. Familiarity with automation technologies and AI-driven analytics for process optimization.
  • Analytical Expertise : Advanced skills in data analysis using tools like Excel, Tableau, or Power BI to identify trends, optimize processes, and forecast demand. Ability to translate data insights into actionable business strategies.
  • Customer and Brand Focus : Strong understanding of retail customer expectations, with a commitment to delivering seamless, high-touch experiences that align with brand values.
  • Global Business Acumen : Knowledge of international supply chain dynamics, trade compliance, and logistics for high-value products. Ability to align order management strategies with global growth objectives.
  • Innovation and Adaptability : Proven ability to challenge existing processes, implement cutting-edge solutions, and adapt to fast-paced, evolving market demands. Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies is a plus.
