Overview

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Stepdown RN for a 20-week travel assignment in Tacoma, Washington. You will provide care to patients transitioning from intensive care to medical-surgical or general inpatient units, with opportunities to make a positive impact on patients while enjoying competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and team support.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data; responds to abnormalities
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care
• Prepares equipment and assists physicians during cardiac-related procedures and examinations
• Maintains comfort and safety of telemetry patients
• Documents nursing history and physical assessments; notifies supervisor or physician of cardiac status
• Responds to life-saving situations following cardiac care standards and protocols
• Initiates patient education plans focusing on cardiac health, risk factors, and lifestyle modifications
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive telemetry patient care
• Maintains patient and client confidentiality
• Performs other duties within the scope of practice; adheres to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards

Qualifications

Required

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
• Current valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)

Preferred

• Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification
• NIHSS Certification
• Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position
