Travel Stepdown RN

Location: Facility in Prestonsburg, Kentucky

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data; responds to abnormalities
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care
• Prepares equipment and assists physicians during cardiac-related procedures
• Maintains patient comfort and safety for telemetry patients
• Documents nursing history and assessments; communicates patient status to the team
• Responds to life-saving situations following nursing standards and protocols
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, patient-centered care
• Maintains patient and client confidentiality
• Performs other duties within the scope of practice as needed

Required Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
• Current valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)

Preferred Qualifications

• Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification
• NIHSS Certification
• Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position

• Proficiency in reading, writing, and English language
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions; basic PC skills
• Physical ability to move and assist with equipment (50-100 lbs)
• Effective teamwork and professionalism with diverse personnel
• Technical/motor skills for procedures and equipment
• Ability to cope with deadlines, varying schedules, and detail-oriented work
• Visual acuity and effective communication abilities
