ICU RN Job Details

• Location: Roswell, New Mexico 88201
• Healthcare Setting: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Unit (CCU)
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Start Date: September 22, 2025
• End Date: December 22, 2025
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day shift, 4x12-hour shifts (06:00 - 18:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1620 - $1660
• First-time travel nurses welcome!

Qualifications

• Active NM or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license (required at time of application)
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU RN experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)
• Proficient with electronic charting systems
• Ability to float to Medical-Surgical (MS) unit if ICU census is low
• Steel gray scrubs required
• Community hospital or acute care experience preferred

ICU RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to adult ICU patients
• Float to Medical-Surgical unit as needed
• Monitor and manage patients with complex, critical conditions (ventilator management, arterial line care, multi-system organ failure)
• Administer emergency medications and blood products
• Assist with procedures such as chest tube insertion/removal, central line care, and cardiac interventions
• Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and cardiac dysrhythmias
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (physical therapy, respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, social services)
• Maintain infection prevention protocols and isolation precautions
• Participate in rotating weekend coverage
