- Shift Schedule: 4x10-hour day shifts (07:00 – 17:30)
- Weekly Hours: 40
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2320 - $2490
- On-Call/Weekend: One weekend call every 4-6 weeks; weekday call every other week
- Float Requirement: May float to cath lab holding
Qualifications – Interventional Radiology RN
- Active DC Registered Nurse (RN) license (in hand or pending at submission)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Interventional Radiology, Cath Lab, procedural nursing, ICU, or ER
- Proven experience with moderate sedation and IV starts
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR charting system
- Two supervisor references required
- Flu vaccination required (no exemptions)
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in the Interventional Radiology unit for adolescent, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients
- Assist with a wide range of IR procedures: angioplasty, carotid angiography, stenting, central venous access, chemoembolization, chest tube placement, dialysis graft creation/revision, discogram, embolization, endovascular interventions, gastrostomy tube placement, liver biopsy, nephrostomy, renal angiography, thoracentesis, vertebroplasty, and more
- Administer moderate sedation and initiate IVs for procedures
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner EMR
- Participate in on-call rotation and float to cath lab holding as needed
