Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Weston, Florida 33331 (South Florida nursing jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13-week travel nurse contract
• Start Date: October 20, 2025
• End Date: January 19, 2026
• Healthcare Setting: Short Term Acute Care, Teaching Facility
• Shift: Days, 3x12-hour shifts (11:00 AM – 11:30 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• On-Call: 1 shift per week and two 12-hour weekend shifts per month
• Unit: Operating Room (Transplant focus – liver, heart, lung, kidney)
• Charting System: EPIC
• Scrub Color: Ceil Blue
• Parking: Free in any unrestricted space

OR RN Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of direct Operating Room RN experience with liver and transplant surgeries required
• Proficiency with MISONIX/CUSA surgical equipment
• Hands-on experience with organ implantation procedures (not just procurement)
• Active Registered Nurse license (Florida RN license or pending accepted)
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS (required at submission), NIHSS (must obtain prior to start)
• Nicotine-free (negative cotinine test required for healthcare employment)
• Willingness to participate in training and teaching activities in a clinical setting
• Must complete time-sensitive onboarding modules promptly
• First-time travel nurses welcome
• 2 professional references from direct nursing supervisors required

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver expert perioperative care for complex transplant surgeries (liver, heart, lung, kidney)
• Assist with organ implantation and other advanced surgical procedures
• Operate advanced surgical equipment, including MISONIX/CUSA
• Float within scope to support facility needs as an OR RN
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams in a teaching hospital environment
• Maintain strict infection control and patient safety protocols
• Accurately document patient care using EPIC electronic health records
• Participate in on-call rotation as required for operating room coverage
