Job Details

Travel Stepdown RN in Grand Island, Nebraska. Location: Facility in Grand Island, Nebraska. Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Stepdown RN for a 16-week travel assignment in Grand Island, Nebraska. This role offers opportunity to care for patients transitioning from intensive care to medical-surgical or general inpatient units with close monitoring and specialized nursing interventions.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data; responds to abnormalities
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care
• Prepares equipment and assists physicians during cardiac-related procedures and examinations
• Maintains comfort and safety of telemetry patients
• Observes patients, documents conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor or physician of status
• Responds to life-saving situations per nursing standards and cardiac protocols
• Documents nursing history and physical assessments for telemetry patients
• Initiates patient education plans focusing on cardiac health, risk factors, and lifestyle modifications
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team for comprehensive telemetry patient care
• Maintains patient/client confidentiality
• Performs other duties within the scope of practice
• Adheres to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
• Current valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)

Preferred Qualifications

• Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification
• NIHSS Certification
• Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position
