Base pay range

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients in the ICU, recognizing and responding to changes in patient condition
• Administer complex medications and treatments in accordance with critical care nursing standards
• Operate and manage advanced life-support equipment
• Ensure patient safety and comfort in high-acuity ICU environments; address physical and emotional needs
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses; notify providers of changes in status
• Perform and interpret advanced hemodynamic monitoring
• Document all actions accurately in the medical record for continuity of care and regulatory compliance
• Educate patients and families about the ICU environment, treatments, and recovery expectations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care
• Maintain proficiency in critical care procedures and technologies through ongoing education
• Adhere to infection control protocols to protect immunocompromised patients
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve ICU outcomes and efficiency
• Perform other duties as assigned within scope and adhere to safety and regulatory standards

Required Qualifications

• One year of recent ICU RN experience
• Active RN license in accordance with state regulations
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) and ACLS (AHA/ARC) certifications

Preferred Qualifications

• CCRN certification
• TNCC, NIHSS certification
• Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions; PC skills
• Physical ability to remain stationary and lift/move equipment up to 50-100 lbs; push/pull and bend as needed

• Ability to perform procedures, use department equipment, and maintain concentration under deadlines
• Visual acuity and effective communication abilities
