Fusion Medical Staffing is hiring: ICU RN in Kearney

Overview

ICU RN position at Fusion Medical Staffing. This travel assignment is 13 weeks in Kearney, Nebraska.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients in the ICU
• Administer complex medications and treatments per critical care standards
• Operate and manage advanced life support equipment
• Ensure patient safety and comfort in high-acuity ICU environments
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses; notify providers of changes
• Perform and interpret advanced hemodynamic monitoring (arterial lines, CVP, PA catheters)
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation for continuity of care and regulatory compliance
• Educate patients and families about the ICU environment, treatments, and recovery expectations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize care
• Maintain proficiency in critical care procedures through ongoing education
• Adhere to infection control protocols to protect immunocompromised patients
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives to improve ICU outcomes and efficiency
• Perform other duties as assigned within scope

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• One year of recent ICU RN experience
• Valid RN license in accordance with state regulations
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) and ACLS (AHA/ARC) certifications

Preferred Qualifications

• CCRN certification
• TNCC, NIHSS certifications
• Other certifications or licenses may be required
