Position Overview

As our Engagement Marketing Strategist , you’ll shape VESSEL’s digital voice across social media and CRM, driving brand storytelling, community engagement and customer growth. 

Under the supervision of our Marketing Manager, you will join a close-knit team of marketers and designers to make a measurable impact across social media and CRM channels (email + SMS) within all three of our sectors: GOLF, TRAVEL, TENNIS.

This position is accountable for VESSEL’s overall engagement marketing performance, with an overarching goal of audience growth, community engagement, website traffic and customer retention.

The core responsibilities of this position will be:

  1. Crafting content strategies and campaigns that excite and connect with our community. 
  2. Overseeing all posting and scheduling across CRM and social channels.
  3. Driving community management and engagement. 
  4. Writing, testing and analyzing email/SMS campaigns.
  5. Reporting and analyzing channel performance. 

This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with a passion for brand storytelling, performance marketing and the evolving worlds of CRM and social media. The right person is highly creative, results focused and loves golf! 

Duties / Responsibilities

Content Strategy & Creation

  • Develop and own the content strategy across social media and CRM channels (email + SMS) to drive audience growth, engagement and retention.
  • Write compelling on-brand copy for social posts, email campaigns, SMS and paid social ads. 
  • Collaborate with the Creative Team to produce assets – ensuring photography, video and design align with campaign goals and brand voice. 
  • Maintain a cohesive style guide for messaging across channels, balancing storytelling, community building and performance-driven call to action. 
  • Identify and implement new content opportunities based on industry trends, social behavior and audience insights. 
  • Strategically incorporate UGC and influencer content into marketing channels. 
  • Stay up-to-date on PGA, LPGA and other major golf events to integrate key cultural and sports moments into the content calendar. 

Channel Management & Execution

  • Build and manage content calendars for both social and CRM channels, ensuring alignment with product launches, promotions and brand campaigns. 
  • Publish, schedule and optimize posts across all social platforms.
  • Plan, test and deploy campaigns in email/SMS platforms including subject lines, CTA’s and content layouts. 
  • Conduct A/B testing across both social and CRM to continuously improve performance. 
  • Actively maintain links, highlights, bios and templates to ensure consistency across digital touchpoints. 

Community Management & Engagement

  • Regularly monitoring our social channels and responding to requests, comments, DMs, and providing real time feedback and engagement.
  • Engage proactively with golfers, fans, influencers and partners to foster a strong brand community. 
  • Coordinate with our Customer Care team on customer service issues that arise in our DMs, comments, and social communications.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Define KPI’s across social and CRM and track progress regularly. I.E.: growth, engagement, CTR, conversion, revenue. 
  • Provide weekly and monthly performance reports with actionable insights. 
  • Use data to optimize copy, creative, send/post times and content strategies. 
  • Benchmark VESSEL’s performance against industry standards and competitor activity. 

Qualifications / Skills 

  • BA, BS in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field preferred.
  • 3-4 years of experience managing social media and/or CRM strategy for brand accounts.
  • Proven ability to write engaging copy for social media, email and SMS campaigns. Portfolio or work samples required. 
  • Demonstrated track record of growing social engagement and delivering strong CRM performance (open rates, CTR, conversions).
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Twitter/X) and CRM tools (e.g., Klaviyo, Attentive).
  • Ability to balance brand storytelling with performance marketing tactics. 
  • A creative eye for video, photography, and design; comfortable collaborating with creative teams.
  • Highly organized with excellent planning, workflow management, and attention to detail.
  • Experience with A/B testing and using analytics to refine strategies.
  • Deep understanding of social and email marketing trends , pop culture, and the evolving digital landscape.
  • Passion for golf or sports lifestyle strongly preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and manage multiple projects at once.
  • Bonus: Basic design skills (Adobe, Canva) or video editing experience.

Salary Range

$60K - $70K
