Position Details:
Schedule: Full-Time, Night Shift
Shifts: 12-hour shifts (paid for 40 hours per week)
Weekends/Holidays: Rotating schedule
Call: No call requirement
Location: Based in the Texas Medical Center
Credentialing Timeline: 2 3 months
Qualifications:
Education & Certification:
Must hold certification as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP)
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of RN or NP experience in Critical Care required
Cardiology experience preferred
New graduate NPs must have at least 2+ years of ICU RN experience
Training Provided:
Specialized training on:
VV/VA ECMO
Mechanical Circulatory Support
Heart and Lung Transplant care
LVAD management
Post-Operative Cardiac Surgery patients
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care through assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing management.
Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team across the full spectrum of care from admission to discharge.
Maintain compliance with the Texas Nurse Practice Act and uphold all organizational standards of clinical practice.
