Neonatology Nurse Practitioner

Locums - NP/PA Neonatal Opening
Location: Hershey, Pennsylvania

Number of Providers Needed: 4
Position Overview:

• Setting: Level IV NICU - 56 beds
• Trauma Level: I
• Patient Load: Approx. 10 patients per shift
• Coverage Needs:
• Primarily nights and weekends
• Weekdays:
• Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Evening/Night Shift: 4:00 PM - 8:00 AM

• Weekends:
• Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• Evening/Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• 24-Hour Shifts Available: Yes, any day of the week
• Staffing:
• Daytime: 5-6 APPs
• Evenings/Nights/Weekends: 2-3 APPs
• Call: No call required
• Admissions: Required
• Rounding: Assigned patient rounds
• EMR: Cerner
• Neonatologist on site at all times
  Orientation & Onboarding:
• Orientation Schedule:
• 3 weekday day shifts
• 2 evening/night shifts
• 2 weekend shifts

Pre-Start Training:

4 hours and 45 minutes of online EMR training required before first day
Licensing & Requirements:

Certification:

Board Certified - Required

BLS, PALS, NRP - Required

Skills Required:

PICC, UVC, UAC line placement

Chest tubes

Lumbar puncture

Intubation

License: Active PA license preferred

APP needs to have level 4 NICU experience
