As an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) , you will oversee the daily care of neonates, manage complex cases, and participate in ground and air transport. This position focuses primarily on night and weekend shifts , with options for flexible 24-hour shifts .

- Weekdays: Day shift 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM Evening/Night shift 4:00 PM - 8:00 AM
- Weekends: Day shift 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Evening/Night shift 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Flexible 24-hour shifts available
- Patient Population: Neonatal (Level IV NICU)
- Average Patient Load: 10 patients per shift
- Licensure: Pennsylvania license preferred; candidates in the application process will be considered

- Deliver comprehensive neonatal care in a Level IV, 56-bed NICU
- Serve as the primary provider for daily patient care in collaboration with attending physicians
- Participate in ground and air transport following required training and orientation
- Perform neonatal procedures including:
- PICC/UVC/UAC line placement
- Chest tube insertions
- Lumbar punctures
- Intubations
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system
- Average 10 patient encounters per shift
- Degree Required: DNP, MSN/MSRN, PA-C, or equivalent advanced practice certification
- Licensure: Current PA license preferred; candidates in active licensure process considered
- Certifications: Current BLS and PALS required
- Experience: Demonstrated competency in high-acuity NICU settings and required neonatal procedures
- Credentialing: Estimated 60-120 days
- Orientation:
- 3 weekday day shifts
- 2 evening/night shifts
- 2 weekend shifts
- Includes shadowing with in-house APPs and setup for Cerner, scrub machine access, and ID
- EMR: 4 hr 45 min online training (to be completed before start)
- Transport: Two 1-hour online courses plus a 45-minute in-person training at the Life Lion hangar
- Primary Focus: Nights and weekends
- Limited weekday day shifts available
- Flexible 24-hour shifts
- Lunch breaks not included in worked hours; providers must swipe out and back in
- Proficiency in neonatal procedures: PICC/UVC/UAC lines, chest tube insertions, lumbar punctures, and intubations
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for multidisciplinary NICU care
- Experience in high-acuity NICU settings
- Ability to complete required orientation and training for neonatal transport duties
