Position Type: Permanent Nurse Practitioner Neonatology
Join a leading health system as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) , providing advanced neonatal care in a collaborative environment. This permanent position offers the opportunity to practice in a Level III NICU setting , working closely with attending pediatricians, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams.
Primary Provider Role: Deliver medical care for newborns under pediatric supervision.
Clinical Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, and evaluate neonatal care.
Order and interpret labs, x-rays, and other diagnostics.
Write orders for medications, IV therapy, parenteral nutrition, and blood products.
Attend high-risk deliveries, resuscitate, and stabilize newborns.
Conduct independent transports between hospital systems, including NICUs.
Additional Roles:
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and policy development.
Serve as a consultant and resource to nursing, administrative, and medical staff.
Lead and participate in nursing education and competency assessments.
Documentation & Billing: Complete reports, charting, and timely billing.
Workplace Culture: Role model for professionalism, patient confidentiality, and safety.
Board Certified in Neonatal NP/NNP REQUIRED
Accredited NNP Program Completion REQUIRED
Active Michigan License REQUIRED
BLS & NRP Certifications REQUIRED
Minimum 2 Years of NICU Experience REQUIRED
Strong clinical knowledge, competencies, and decision-making skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
