Overview

Join a leading health system as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) , providing advanced neonatal care in a collaborative environment. This permanent position offers the opportunity to practice in a Level III NICU setting , working closely with attending pediatricians, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams.

Practice Highlights
  • Primary Provider Role: Deliver medical care for newborns under pediatric supervision.

  • Clinical Responsibilities:

    • Assess, plan, and evaluate neonatal care.

    • Order and interpret labs, x-rays, and other diagnostics.

    • Write orders for medications, IV therapy, parenteral nutrition, and blood products.

    • Attend high-risk deliveries, resuscitate, and stabilize newborns.

    • Conduct independent transports between hospital systems, including NICUs.

  • Additional Roles:

    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and policy development.

    • Serve as a consultant and resource to nursing, administrative, and medical staff.

    • Lead and participate in nursing education and competency assessments.

  • Documentation & Billing: Complete reports, charting, and timely billing.

  • Workplace Culture: Role model for professionalism, patient confidentiality, and safety.

Candidate Requirements
  • Board Certified in Neonatal NP/NNP REQUIRED

  • Accredited NNP Program Completion REQUIRED

  • Active Michigan License REQUIRED

  • BLS & NRP Certifications REQUIRED

  • Minimum 2 Years of NICU Experience REQUIRED

  • Strong clinical knowledge, competencies, and decision-making skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Not accepting visa candidates

  • Not accepting locum providers
