Controller Position Overview The Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable (AP/AR) Specialist is responsible for managing the company's day-to-day payables and receivables processes. This role ensures timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, employee expense reports, and customer payments, as well as maintaining accurate financial records and supporting month-end close activities.

55,000- 65,000 Key Responsibilities Accounts Payable Review, code, and enter vendor invoices into the accounting system.

Match purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices to verify accuracy.

Process vendor payments via check, ACH, or wire transfer according to terms.

Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

Maintain vendor files and ensure compliance with W-9 and 1099 reporting requirements.

Accounts Receivable Prepare and send customer invoices promptly and accurately.

Post customer payments (checks, ACH, credit cards) to the general ledger.

Monitor accounts receivable aging report and follow up on overdue accounts.

Resolve customer billing issues and discrepancies professionally.

Coordinate with sales and customer service teams to ensure timely collections.

General Accounting & Month-End Support Assist with account reconciliations related to AP and AR balances.

Prepare journal entries as needed for accruals, adjustments, and reclassifications.

Support month-end close and financial reporting activities.

Maintain organized documentation for audit purposes.

Qualifications Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Bachelor's preferred.

2+ years of combined AP and AR experience.

Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle).

Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP).

High attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements Office-based role with extended periods of computer use.

May require occasional overtime during month-end or year-end close.
