Grant Accountant - Nonprofit Organization
Our long-standing client, a mission-driven nonprofit organization, is seeking a
Grant Accountant
to join their finance team. This individual will play a vital role in managing grant funding, ensuring compliance, and providing accurate reporting that supports the organization's community-focused mission.

Key Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of grant accounting, including post-award financial tracking, reporting, and compliance
Prepare and monitor grant budgets, ensuring expenses are properly allocated and within funding guidelines
Reconcile grant activity to the general ledger and assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
Prepare timely and accurate grant financial reports for funders, auditors, and internal leadership
Assist with annual audits and grant-related schedules
Collaborate with program managers to track grant expenditures and ensure accurate use of funds
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and private grantor requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
3+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in grant or nonprofit accounting
Strong knowledge of fund accounting, OMB Uniform Guidance, and grant compliance preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; experience with nonprofit accounting software a plus (e.g., MIP, Blackbaud, QuickBooks Nonprofit)
Highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
Excellent communication skills and ability to partner with program staff
Compensation
$32 - $38/hour (equivalent to $65,000 - $78,000 annually depending on experience)
