Rehabilitation RN Job Details
- Location: Chesterfield, Missouri 63017 – A thriving St. Louis suburb with top-rated schools, parks, and easy access to shopping, dining, and cultural attractions.
- Assignment Type: Locum tenens (travel nursing contract)
- Start Date: October 6, 2025
- End Date: January 5, 2026
- Duration: 13-week contract
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Unit: Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) with 81 private rooms
- Patient Ratio: 1:8 on nights, with dedicated clinical support staff
- Electronic Health Record: Epic EHR
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1800-$1840
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience; rehabilitation nursing or med/surg experience preferred
- CRRN (Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse) certification preferred
- Ability to float between Stroke, Comprehensive, Medically Complex, Brain Injury, and Spinal Cord Injury units
- Strong teamwork, flexibility, and positive attitude
- Must wear black scrubs and agency-issued ID badge
- COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required (no declinations accepted)
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional nursing care to adult patients (18+) with complex rehabilitation needs
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to create and implement individualized care plans
- Monitor patient progress, administer medications, and educate patients and families on recovery and care
- Support patients in regaining functional abilities and improving quality of life
- Float as needed to specialized rehabilitation units within the hospital
- Document all patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic electronic health records
- Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to a positive, patient-centered team environment
