Rehabilitation RN Job Details

• Location: Chesterfield, Missouri 63017 – A thriving St. Louis suburb with top-rated schools, parks, and easy access to shopping, dining, and cultural attractions.
• Assignment Type: Locum tenens (travel nursing contract)
• Start Date: October 6, 2025
• End Date: January 5, 2026
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Unit: Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) with 81 private rooms
• Patient Ratio: 1:8 on nights, with dedicated clinical support staff
• Electronic Health Record: Epic EHR
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1800-$1840

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience; rehabilitation nursing or med/surg experience preferred
• CRRN (Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse) certification preferred
• Ability to float between Stroke, Comprehensive, Medically Complex, Brain Injury, and Spinal Cord Injury units
• Strong teamwork, flexibility, and positive attitude
• Must wear black scrubs and agency-issued ID badge
• COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required (no declinations accepted)

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional nursing care to adult patients (18+) with complex rehabilitation needs
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to create and implement individualized care plans
• Monitor patient progress, administer medications, and educate patients and families on recovery and care
• Support patients in regaining functional abilities and improving quality of life
• Float as needed to specialized rehabilitation units within the hospital
• Document all patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic electronic health records
• Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to a positive, patient-centered team environment
