Overview

Skyridge Valley Dental Care is looking for a Dental Assistant to join our team. Location: Lehi, Utah 84043. Full-time; Monday-Friday 7:45-5:00; No weekends. Competitive pay based on experience and certifications.

What You’ll Do

  • Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, sustain patient comfort, and provide appropriate education throughout treatment
  • Conduct a thorough review of the patient’s health history to support quality care
  • Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.)
  • Provide superior chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to supported dentists during a wide variety of procedures in accordance with the state dental practice act
  • Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping
  • Prepare treatment room with strict adherence to safety protocols and following OSHA & CDC recommendations
  • Manage supply and inventory levels, and place/expedite orders as needed
  • Partner with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience as a dental assistant strongly preferred; ability to train a newly graduated dental assistant that holds required UT certifications
  • Willing and able to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Ability to collaborate closely with doctors
  • Willingness to take on additional responsibilities, including ordering, OSHA management, hygiene assist
  • Dentrix or other dental software experience
  • Dental assisting school certification in UT required
  • Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
  • Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment
  • Outgoing, team player, self-starter, and eager to learn
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • PHI access restricted to job-related purposes; regular HIPAA training required; data safeguards

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and standing
  • Occasional lifting up to 45 pounds
  • Availability to attend virtual or in-person training periodically
  • TB test required for all new hires in dental office positions (not applicable in FL & TN)
