The User Acceptance Tester (UAT) is responsible for validating that software applications and systems meet business requirements and end-user expectations prior to deployment. The UAT will develop and execute test cases, document defects, and collaborate with business analysts, developers, and project managers to ensure the delivery of high-quality, user-ready solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Review business requirements, functional specifications, and design documents to understand application features and user needs.
  • Develop, document, and execute comprehensive UAT test plans and test cases.
  • Perform end-to-end testing of software applications to ensure functionality, usability, and compliance with business requirements.
  • Identify, document, and communicate defects and inconsistencies, working with technical teams to facilitate resolution.
  • Participate in test planning, requirement reviews, and status meetings.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and end users to validate that delivered solutions meet expectations.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations for process and system improvements.
  • Prepare and present test results, status reports, and acceptance sign-off documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in user acceptance testing, quality assurance, or software testing.
  • Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with test management tools (e.g., Jira, Quality Center, TestRail) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Compensation

  • Hourly Pay Rate: $28.00 - $40.00 per hour
