Quality Assurance Software Tester

Position Overview

FTS is seeking a detail-oriented QA Software Tester to collaborate with external state jurisdiction partners and ensure the accuracy, reliability, and performance of our applications. This role requires strong communication skills, solid knowledge of testing methodologies, and the ability to quickly learn and use our proprietary testing tools (training will be provided).

Key Responsibilities

• Execute test plans, verify outcomes, and maintain clear documentation of results.
• Gain hands-on knowledge of applications through technical documentation, training sessions, and practical testing experience.
• Perform both manual and automated testing on internal and external systems, focusing primarily on User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Test web services (RESTful preferred) to validate functionality, performance, and integration points.
• Investigate, document, and communicate defects clearly to both internal teams and external partners, ensuring prompt resolution.
• Prepare and deliver defect status reports, working collaboratively across teams to maintain testing quality.
• Provide clear and professional communication throughout the testing lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a QA Software Tester performing internal and external system testing.
• Hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing environments.
• Knowledge of web services testing (RESTful experience preferred).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Jira or similar issue-tracking tools.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Additional experience with test automation frameworks is a plus.
