We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable full-time Warehouse Associate to join our team at our Indianapolis, IN (Plainfield IN area) Distribution HUB.

Matthews Memorialization is a leader in the memorialization industry, providing products and services to funeral homes. Matthews International is the parent company. The position involves unloading and loading caskets onto and off our vehicles and assisting with deliveries and other warehouse activities necessary for operations.

Job Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading caskets and other memorialization products from our various production facilities.
• Preparing products for delivery and unloading products to be stored in our warehouse.
• Scanning products, pulling correct orders, and maintaining a clean work environment.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
• 1+ years of previous warehouse experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work 8-hour shifts while on your feet (walking, pushing, pulling products).
• Reliable transportation to get to and from work every day.
• Ability to work overtime when needed.

Physical Aspects / Work Environment

• Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk, hear, and see.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• The noise level in the work environment may be high.
