Warehouse Assistant Job at AppleOne in Escondido

Overview

The Warehouse Assistant / Driver supports all warehouse operations including receiving, processing, packing, shipping, stocking, and organizing materials. This role also prepares and delivers equipment and supplies to construction sites both locally and long distance (with occasional overnight travel), ensuring safe handling, accurate documentation, and compliance with all safety regulations. Located in San Marcos, CA. Full-time, $24-26 / hr DOE

Responsibilities

• Receive, verify, and process incoming / outgoing shipments
• Pull, pack, load, and unload orders; prepare job site materials
• Deliver equipment / materials locally and long distance (overnight as needed)
• Secure, operate, and maintain delivery trucks / trailers per DOT / FMCSA regulations
• Maintain clean, organized warehouse and safe working conditions
• Keep accurate logs, inspections, and expense records
• Support building maintenance and assist with other warehouse / facility needs
• Comply with safety procedures, wear proper PPE, and maintain company standards
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED or equivalent experience
• 2+ years warehouse experience (construction industry preferred)
• Must be 21+ with valid auto insurance and CA Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License
• Clean driving record and current DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate
• Forklift Certification required (Scissor Lift / Skid Steer certifications preferred)
• Ability to drive truck and trailer combinations with a GVWR of 26,001 pounds or greater
• Familiarity with construction equipment and basic maintenance
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic knowledge of inventory systems and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel)
