Role Summary

Come join Laborup! We’re hiring a Senior Staffing Specialist to join our staffing team—the heartbeat of our business. This role blends execution and strategy: you’ll own sourcing, screening, interviewing, and placing candidates, engage directly with our manufacturing partners, and continuously improve and scale staffing processes.

You’ll be empowered with our full suite of AI-powered recruiting tools, specifically designed to 10X productivity and revolutionize hiring in manufacturing. This role requires hustle, judgment, people skills, AI-savviness, and a deep commitment to operational excellence.

Who We Are

We’re a fast-growing team building an AI-powered talent platform for manufacturing workers and companies. We connect vetted skilled talent (machinists, CNC programmers, technicians, etc.) with essential roles at industry leaders like Boeing, Nissan, SpaceX, and more.

About You

  • Customer-obsessed and sales-savvy: Passionate about delighting customers and candidates. Maybe your first job was as a server, cashier, or in door-to-door sales—you genuinely enjoy connecting with people.
  • Growth mindset: Continuously improving, optimistic, open-minded, and eager to learn. You commit to becoming at least 1% better every day.
  • Operationally sharp: Highly organized, data-driven, and focused on optimizing processes to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Entrepreneurial and dynamic: You thrive in high‑intensity environments, love taking initiative, and pride yourself on your relentless work ethic. We work exceptionally hard—and so do you.
  • Hands-on hustle: Comfortable doing strategic tasks as well as frontline execution. No task beneath you.
  • Fearless communicator: Proactively engage candidates and employers. You’re not afraid to pick up the phone, conduct meetings, and foster lasting relationships.
  • Owner mindset: You think like an owner—with high urgency, agency, and ownership of outcomes.

What You'll Do

  • Full-cycle recruitment: Source, screen, interview, and place skilled industrial workers (Machinists, Welders, CNC Programmers, Technicians) at manufacturing companies, ensuring exceptional candidate/client experience. (We help companies hire; this responsibility reflects that.)
  • Use AI-powered recruiting tools: Leverage our suite of cutting-edge AI products specifically built to transform how talent is sourced, vetted, and placed in manufacturing roles. You’ll receive extensive training to become fully proficient.
  • High-volume candidate & client engagement: Proactively talk to thousands of users and clients, conduct sales calls, and close key deals, collaborating closely with the CEO.
  • Build employer partnerships: Prospect, meet with, and close partnerships with manufacturing companies, serving as their trusted point of contact and driving adoption of our platform.
  • Strategy & execution: Partner directly with the CEO to brainstorm, experiment, iterate quickly, and execute new strategies, helping build our growth engine.
  • Improve operations: Streamline processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement solutions that ensure efficiency and scalability.
  • Data-driven optimization: Track key metrics, measure your impact, and use insights to continuously optimize staffing performance.
  • Develop resources: Create clear, high-quality documentation and training materials to scale best practices across our team.

What You Bring

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in staffing, recruiting, sales, business development, consulting, operations, customer success, or related fields—ideally in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
  • Proven success executing and strategically enhancing recruitment or sales pipelines.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Exceptional judgment, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Tech-savvy and AI-native: You’re naturally comfortable adopting and maximizing AI-driven recruiting products, software, and analytics tools (ATS systems, Excel, CRM tools, etc.) to amplify your effectiveness.
  • Experience in early-stage startups or high-growth environments.
  • Familiarity or interest in manufacturing or industrial sectors.

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary with clear, performance-driven commission.
  • Meaningful early equity—participate directly in our company’s success.
  • Rapid professional growth with clear upward mobility.
  • Full health, vision, and dental coverage.
  • Monthly meal stipend.
  • Unlimited PTO.
