Overview

The Union Janitor position at our Denver PDC facility plays a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both employees and visitors. This role ensures that all assigned areas are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized according to established standards and union guidelines. The janitor will contribute to the overall operational efficiency by performing routine maintenance tasks and promptly addressing any cleanliness issues. Working as part of a unionized team, the janitor will collaborate with colleagues to uphold workplace safety and hygiene protocols. Responsibilities

  • Perform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal in designated areas.
  • Sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and common areas to meet health and safety standards.
  • Operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals safely and effectively following union and company guidelines.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure all cleaning schedules and quality standards are consistently met.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols.
  • Physical capability to perform manual labor including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a unionized environment.
  • Familiarity with commercial cleaning equipment and chemical handling.
  • Basic knowledge of workplace safety regulations.
