Overview

Home Lending Assistant – Indianapolis, IN. Join our fun, high-energy team in Chase Home Lending and support customers through the life of the loan while adhering to regulatory requirements. This role focuses on providing exceptional customer experience and assisting Home Lending Advisors in achieving strong sales results.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize your understanding of the home loan process to take all initial inquiry calls for prequalification, take complete applications, request documentation from borrowers and review with Home Loan Advisor(s).
  • Discuss products and pricing at the request of, or in the absence of, the Home Lending Advisor(s).
  • Proactively review complex files to identify potential problems with loan applications and arrive at workable solutions with the Home Lending Advisor(s) prior to submission to processing.
  • Manage pipeline, consistently communicating updates to Home Lending Advisor(s) on pipeline status and updating borrowers and builders on loan status while watching for pipeline fallout and rate quotes to pipeline floats.
  • Act as a liaison between Home Lending Advisor(s), branch, processing center (if applicable), and a group of established realtors to coordinate submissions and closings so Advisors can focus on generating new business.
  • Coordinate and manage marketing to buyers, sellers, realtors, and builders; assist in staffing Realtor/builder open houses and trade shows.
  • Establish annual loan production targets with Home Lending Advisor(s) and support high usage of laptop originations when applicable.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in sales and/or real estate
  • A minimum of four years’ work experience in mortgage loan processing
  • Intermediate computer skills (familiar with MS Office products or similar software)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to demonstrate control, flexibility, and maintain quality and high productivity when dealing with customers and changing work demand

  • This position is subject to the Dodd-Frank/Truth in Lending Act qualification requirements for Loan Originators. Employment offers are contingent on review of criminal history, credit report, NMLS information, and overall fitness for the position.
  • Felony convictions within the last seven years may disqualify candidates. Compliance with Truth in Lending Act/Dodd-Frank Loan Originator requirements is required for continued employment.
  • National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) registration is required. Upon active employment, you will need to register or update your existing registration and maintain annual renewal and updates.
