Overview

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer II to join our engineering team. This role is responsible for leading production part projects related to engineering changes and transfers, including oversight of tooling, fixtures, gauging, routings, schedules, cost analysis, and customer communication. The position requires both technical expertise and strong project management skills, with a focus on delivering quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage production part projects, including redesigns, complex mold setups, secondary operations, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Ensure projects meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements across multiple facilities.
  • Apply knowledge of investment casting, tooling, melt, heat treat, and related processes to improve efficiency and performance.
  • Create and maintain production routings, tooling plans, gauging requirements, and supporting documentation.
  • Support customer correspondence and provide technical input during project discussions.
  • Prepare and maintain customer quality documentation; identify and resolve process gaps or conflicts.
  • Contribute to company-wide initiatives and serve as a technical resource during urgent line-down situations.
  • Utilize CAD and 3D modeling software to support design, analysis, and improvements.
  • Apply principles of GD&T and continuous flow manufacturing in daily work.
  • Drive process improvements by incorporating feedback from manufacturing teams and customers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related).
  • Minimum 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in metalworking, casting, machining, or related industries.
  • Hands-on experience with tooling, material properties, machining practices, and quality standards.
  • Familiarity with CAD software (NX/Unigraphics, SolidCast, SolidWorks, or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of GD&T principles, ISO/IATF/AS quality system requirements, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong communication and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple active projects.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
