Role and Purpose: Triumph Public High Schools is seeking a dynamic, dedicated and passionate Custodian to work at our campus in Lubbock, Texas. We are a Texas-based, tuition-free public charter high school serving at-risk students. When you start here, you Triumph here! #TOGETHERWETRIUMPH

Responsibilities

The Custodian helps ensure the school's buildings and grounds are maintained in a safe, clean, and sanitary manner. Responsibilities include dusting, sweeping, mopping floors, sanitizing restroom fixtures, and related duties. If within capability, during winter, spring, and/or summer break, duties may include stripping and waxing floors. Maintains air conditioners and water heater as needed and replaces light bulbs. May perform other duties as requested. This position may require some occasional work on Saturdays, over the summer, and some travel within the state of Texas.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D.
• Must possess basic skills for building/grounds maintenance using appropriate cleaning products and equipment
• Ability to perform minor repairs preferred
• Must use cleaning liquids in accordance with instructions
• Must have at least one year of experience in the field
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not required
• Ability to read, write and understand English required
• Required to pass a pre-employment fingerprinting as part of the background check
• Required to pass a pre-employment physical as part of the background check
• Required to submit original college transcripts, service records and credentials within first 30 days of employment

Pay Range

$19,360 to $24,640 per year

Pay range is based on education, experience, certifications and/or credentials. Annually salary is prorated from the effective date of hire.
