MA / Medical Assistant - Sports Medicine
UW Medical Center-Northwest - Sports Medicine at OPMC has an outstanding opportunity for a Medical Assistant - Certified (MA-C).
Overview
Location: North Seattle. Employment type: Part-time/Per diem; Schedule: Day shift; Hours: Between 20-40 hours per week depending on staffing needs.

Primary Job Responsibilities
- Room patients, take vital signs, and reconcile records
- Perform injections
- Prepare and clean exam rooms
- Submit medication prior authorizations
- Recognize symptoms of common medical illnesses and accurately report to provider
- Act as a liaison between patient, patient’s family and providers
- Assist provider with procedures and medical exams
- Perform point of care testing and report abnormal laboratory values
- Assist in transporting patients as required
Requirements
- Completion of a Medical Assistant course accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES or other recognized regional/national accreditation board OR equivalent
- Must be Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified or achieve this designation within 6 months of hire. Failure to achieve and/or maintain this designation will result in termination of employment
- Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider CPR card

Compensation & Benefits
