Step out of traditional investing and into a role that’s shaping the future of private markets.
This opportunity sits at the intersection of data-driven investment strategy, institutional client advisory, and private market innovation. As Principal Quant Investment Strategist, you’ll lead the charge in designing and delivering portfolio construction solutions that influence billions in private equity and credit assets. This isn’t about reporting on performance—it’s about shaping it.
You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, asset owners, and investment committees to drive high-impact decisions that blend deep analytical rigor with commercial acumen. If you’re currently in a buy-side or asset allocation role and are looking for a bigger seat at the table—one where your ideas directly inform strategy—this could be your next move.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Designing tailored portfolio construction and asset allocation strategies for sophisticated institutional investors.
- Building and enhancing analytical frameworks to inform investment pacing, cash flow modeling, and risk profiling—especially within private markets.
- Leading client-facing engagements, translating complex data into compelling narratives and actionable investment decisions.
- Partnering across internal investment, IR, and research teams to deliver insight-driven solutions and thought leadership.
- Playing a key role in developing quantitative tools and models that guide strategic asset allocation at scale.
What You’ll Bring:
- 10+ years of experience in investment strategy, ideally across both public and private markets, with a strong understanding of institutional asset allocation.
- Advanced technical expertise in portfolio construction, asset allocation modeling, and investment risk analytics.
- Experience engaging with senior institutional clients—comfortable simplifying the complex and influencing decisions.
- A strong commercial mindset with an eye for long-term portfolio outcomes and an appreciation for the nuances of private equity and credit.
- Bonus if you’ve published white papers, led research projects, or contributed to thought leadership in the investment space.
Ideal Background:
- MA/MS/MBA/PhD or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Math, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience with private markets is a distinct advantage—but not required if you bring a fast learning curve and deep asset allocation experience.
Why Consider This Role?
- Influence the long-term strategies of major institutional portfolios.
- Work with a high-performing, low-ego team that blends innovation and execution.
- Step into a role with real visibility, tangible outcomes, and global scale.
- Join a firm that values thought leadership, creative thinking, and quantitative rigor—not just pedigree.
Curious but not actively looking?
That’s okay. Some of the best conversations start that way. If this sounds like the kind of challenge that would stretch you and align with where you want to go, we’d love to talk.
