Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian to join our night crew 2:30pm - 11:00pm Monday - Friday. Dinner provided most shifts and overtime availability. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all students and staff. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors in designated areas.
• Maintain restrooms, ensuring they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, waxing, and stripping as needed.
• Handle janitorial duties in both commercial and residential settings.
• Assist with industrial cleaning tasks and facilities maintenance as required.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained in good working condition.
• Provide porter services when necessary, including moving furniture or equipment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial, or custodial roles is preferred.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment operation.
• Knowledge of commercial cleaning standards and practices.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions effectively.
• Good physical stamina and ability to lift moderate weights as needed.
• Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
