The Chief Information Officer (CIO) is responsible for overseeing IT projects that reduce costs and generate profits, managing communication systems, and planning the company's broader IT strategy. The CIO handles all aspects of the company's IT infrastructure and technology resources, working closely with other executives to achieve strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze current technology infrastructure and align it with strategic business plans. Optimize enterprise processes.
  • Develop and implement a cohesive management information strategy.
  • Review communication systems, including network infrastructure and connectivity.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure optimal allocation of technology resources.
  • Ensure IT operations comply with local laws and coordinate security and compliance to meet client needs.
  • Maintain the security of IT assets and align IT risk management with enterprise risk management.
  • Work with executives to develop strategic growth plans.
  • Engage with customers during sales and service delivery processes.
  • Develop and implement new technology solutions with business users.
  • Establish IT department goals aligned with company objectives.
  • Define performance metrics and report on performance.
  • Manage the technology budget.
  • Lead, recruit, and develop the technology team.
  • Optimize in-house versus outsourced services.
  • Define and update IT standards and technologies.

Professional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum ten years of executive-level experience in information and/or business roles (VP or CIO level).
  • Prior global CIO experience is essential.
  • Demonstrated global leadership experience.
  • Experience in strategic planning, contracting, negotiations, and change management.
  • Knowledge of cloud technology and digital marketing.
  • Experience with IT integrations in large organizations.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with non-IT colleagues and build strong relationships.
  • Leadership qualities: visionary, passionate, charismatic, confident, influential, risk-taker, creative, supportive, and principled.
  • Proficiency in managing teams, projects, resources, budgets, vendors, and partners.
  • Proven team-building, mentoring, and motivational skills.
  • Strong project prioritization skills, with a track record of delivering on time and within budget.
  • International experience and cultural awareness.
