Night Auditor at Gulf Coast Hotel Management, Inc.

Weekend shifts required. Located in Wheeling, IL.

Responsibilities

  • Assist guests and meet hotel needs that arise in the absence of the GM and/or AGM.
  • Ensure all service provided is prompt and courteous to meet high standards of quality, guest satisfaction, and repeat business.
  • Greet after-hours guests, assist with check-ins and check-outs, register and assign rooms, issue keys/cards, explain room features, transmit and receive messages, keep records of occupied rooms and guest accounts, handle reservations, compute bills, present statements, and collect payments from departing guests.
  • Perform physical inspections of the property.
  • Respond to problems or issues after normal business hours; clock in and out for all calls and work performed.
  • Be aware of hotel policies concerning room rates, group discounts, and special offerings; maintain proficiency in location computer and software systems.
  • Provide guests with directions and information regarding amenities, services, hours of operation, and local points of interest.
  • Record guest comments or complaints and refer guests to the GM as necessary.
  • Know property emergency procedures and respond to emergencies (police, fire, weather, electrical outages, water issues, etc.) in a timely manner.
  • Assist with cleaning and maintenance of common areas to brand and Gulf Coast standards; ensure guest safety at entrances and on sidewalks in inclement weather.
  • Work in the laundry area as needed (loading/unloading washers and dryers, folding items).
  • Notify GM or Maintenance Support of major repairs.
  • Ensure the security needs of the property and guests are met.
  • Wear appropriate attire per the dress code.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience And Requirements

  • 1 year hospitality experience preferred.
  • Work authorization required.
  • Pre-employment drug screening required.
  • Flexible schedule required; evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required.
